Today's Five O'Clock Rock
is a repeat of sorts.

Taxes and travel have kept me from squeezing out the rock for the past couple of weeks. I have been, shall we say, a bit rockstipated.

However, I do have a mix that is somewhat timely today. As of this week, we now have fewer than a thousand days left of the Best President Ever.

Protracted war. Nuclear threats. Rage in the Middle East. Soaring gas prices. Abuse of the Constitution. Improvised presidential powers. Surveillance of the citizenry. This guy. That guy. Hell, they're as great today as they were back in 1972.

At least these songs are, too.
"Political Science," Randy Newman
"Hercules," Aaron Neville
"Things Could Be Better," Ernie & the Top Notes
# "The Lonesomest Lonesome," Mac Davis
# "It's Alright To Cry," Rosie Grier
